About K-Typing

What is K-Typing?

K-Typing is a free web app that helps people who are learning Korean type Hangul on any keyboard. You do not need a Korean keyboard or any software: in Virtual mode you press the English keys, and K-Typing builds the Korean letters for you.

It is made for learners outside Korea — travelers, K-pop and K-drama fans, students preparing for TOPIK, and anyone who wants to read and write Korean.

What you can learn

Letters: all 40 Hangul letters with their names, sounds and stroke order. On a phone or tablet you can trace each letter with your finger.

Words: 300 basic TOPIK I words in 30 topics, with romanization and meaning.

Phrases: 200 everyday and travel phrases in 20 topics.

While you type, K-Typing shows the next key, plays the Korean pronunciation and tracks your speed (keystrokes per minute) and accuracy.

Content and translations

Romanization follows the official Revised Romanization of Korean. The word list is based on basic TOPIK I vocabulary.

K-Typing is available in 13 languages. Translations were prepared with the help of AI and checked by an independent review. If you find a mistake, please tell us at mrok3278@gmail.com.
